Lando Norris got extremely close to winning the Canadian Grand Prix, becoming the race leader for a significant amount of time. Although he qualified third, Norris managed to gain a position by the end of the race. While this should be a result he should be happy with, after his first win, it looks like the 24-year-old will settle for nothing short of P1.

Norris went to Canada with hopes of bringing in a second win, but he had to settle for P2. However, this is still a good result for the team, as now, they know that they can lead races and win them too. Supporting the McLaren driver, was one of his biggest fans from back home. Norris’ sister Savannah’s daughter was found cheering him from her home as she was getting ready to see her uncle race in Montreal.

Lando Norris is one out of 4 siblings and two of them are sisters. His sister Savannah has two children and one of them is old enough to enjoy racing. For the Canadian Grand Prix, Savannah and her daughter wanted to support Lando Norris as the qualifiers were in session.

After the qualifiers, Savannah Norris uploaded an Instagram story of her daughter watching and cheering for her uncle, who was set to start the race at P3. In the post, we get to see the little Norris fan standing in front of a TV that is showing her uncle qualifying P3. This was enough reason to celebrate, as starting in the second row makes it possible to fight for the win, especially after the upgrades that McLaren implemented to their car.

With the curse of Lando No-Wins finally out of the picture, fans have started to expect more victories from the Briton driver, since he led the race for several laps during the Canadian Grand Prix. Norris is an extremely lovable racer and even Max Verstappen was happy to see him win. At the Miami circuit, Lando Norris found a new fan in him, considering his first Grand Prix win.

Everyone was rooting for Lando Norris to get his first win ever since he held the unfortunate record of most podiums without a win. Fans wanted to see Lando Norris win, but not more than he wanted to win himself. Zak Brown has always known that Norris is a potential race winner and also believes that he has what it takes to become the world champion.

So when Lando Norris beat Max Verstappen in Miami on merit, the Red Bull driver’s girlfriend’s daughter congratulated the race winner. Although Verstappen and Norris are fierce rivals, they also have a friendship that  Penelope Kvyat has picked up on. While spending time around F1 drivers, little miss Kvyat has gotten attached to Norris, and when he won his first race, she joined in to celebrate the win.

At the Miami GP, there was an adorable video of Penelope greeting Norris with a heartfelt hug. This video caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of fans, whose hearts were melted by Kvyat’s childhood innocence and love for people she cares about. This only goes to show that Lando Norris is extremely popular with young fans, among whom few are family or equally close to him.
