The once-celebrated kid of the papaya team has now become the villain of F1. Lando Norris was criticized massively for potentially playing a part in the exit of Daniel Ricciardo from McLaren. Furthermore, his comments on Ricciardo’s exit were also taken in a negative way.

However, the Briton has denied any such suggestion and shares that he enjoys a good relationship with the Australian. Ricciardo will leave McLaren at the end of this season.

Fans have constantly questioned the McLaren driver’s relationship on multiple occasions. Lando Norris has denied any such suggestions and feels the media have taken his comments out of proportion many times.

Norris said“Just because of being honest, some certain comments I have said regarding things Daniel has struggled with on this car. I have just been honest and said it is not my job to help him.”

He further added, “Those comments, people for some reason take it that I don’t like him, I am not friends with him and we don’t get along. They just see a headline and just want to believe everything like that. I don’t know why else they would believe that.”

Daniel Ricciardo is without a seat for the next year whereas Lando Norris will partner with another Australian, Oscar Piastri. McLaren will be hoping to finish the season ahead of Alpine in the constructor’s championship.

He might not be in the best of places currently, but Ricciardo is still one of the jolliest people on the paddock. However, like everyone else, people still have their fair share of good and bad days. The Australian revealed how he deals with a tough weekend.

The Honeybadger said, “I’m not a big drinker but have I had a beer or a glass of wine before a race, like a Saturday night? Of course, I have.”

He further added, “It’s not going out to the club on Wednesday night, it’s having a little cognac. I’m pretty disciplined, I enjoy having a good time but I guess race week I’m pretty chill.”

After the recent drama in the past few months, the Aussie driver won’t have just a cognac to ease his pain. However, the main objective for the Australian is to secure a seat in F1 for next year.
