In what has come as a cause of major celebration for his fans, Lando Norris has signed a multi-year deal with his team, McLaren. Admittedly, the duration of the contract has not been revealed. However, it is clear that the British driver will remain in the McLaren stable for a while longer.
He said, “My commitment to McLaren is clear: my goal is to win races and become Formula 1 World Champion and I want to do that with this team. Since joining in 2017 our progression has been consistent and we have clear ambitions together for the future.”
Of course, the McLaren team has been in a state of rebuild ever since their disastrous Honda stint. After the messy divorce, the Woking outfit have been slowly and steadily creeping back up the order.

Even though Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes are ruling the roost at the moment, the seven-time world champion is approaching the twilight of his career, in terms of age. Norris is more than a decade younger and is an upcoming star of the future, which is quite evident from his performances so far this season.
It is fairly obvious that McLaren want to build their future around Lando Norris. This explains why they tabled a multi-year contract with the youngster. It also helps that he has been performing exceptionally well for the team. He grabbed a podium this year and currently sits fourth in the championship, even going as high as third at one point.
