Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, the faces of Mclaren F1 make a hilarious duo that is often engaged in some fun banter. Despite becoming teammates just last year, the pair has developed a good relationship on and off the track. And carrying the same energy, Norris and Ricciardo assessed each other.

The two Mclaren men assessed their ratings for the upcoming F1 22 game from Codemasters. EA will release the game with official licenses for the 2022 Formula 1 and Formula 2 championships. The two Mclaren men, while guessing each other’s pace for their in-game cards, made a mockery of things.

Ricciardo gave Norris an overall rating of 91 on his race pace. But during Norris’s turn to rate the Australian, Ricciardo jokingly asked, “Wait, is this, this year or is this over the course of time?”

The young Mclaren driver hilariously rated the Australian based on two separate years. Norris, on his assessment, wrote, “2018: 94, 2022: 34”. Ricciardo firstly laughed at the assessment and did some quick math as he said, “If we meet in the middle, that would be 64.”

The healthy banter between the two is a refreshing sight, especially Ricciardo laughing off Norris’s hilarious assessment. Might not be too far from reality as Ricciardo has struggled for pace in the season so far. And even though the rating might be a little exaggerated, there is still a little truth in the assessment.

Albeit jokingly, the two Mclaren men stuck to the theme when discussing their favorite teammates. Norris suggested after Ricciardo drew a sketch of him, “Like I said, he prefers Max [Verstappen] over me.”

And Ricciardo replied, “I was with Max longer, as a like a partner, as a teammate. Maybe there’s time to earn ‘LN’ over my forehead.”
