Reigning world champion Max Verstappen is having a stellar season. The Flying Dutchman enjoys a whopping 116 points lead over ex-karting mate, Charles Leclerc. Singapore GP could be the race when Max can wrap up the second title of his ultra-impressive career.
Despite Max’s dominance throughout the season, Lando found a way to pull Max’s leg. McLaren wonder kid bantered about Max’s title defense being a walk in the park and presented him a different challenge.
Speaking to SkySports in an exclusive interview, the McLaren driver said, “[His season] has been easy. He should maybe have a go back in our car and see what it’s like.”
But like any other close friend, Lando also commended his dear friend. He said, “He’s done amazing. Very impressive, of course. Similar to Lewis in previous years, when you’ve got a car that can deliver and win races, he’s the one taking those opportunities.”
“He’s one of the most talented drivers ever to come into Formula 1, one of the fastest. No doubt he’s going to win his second this year and most likely go on to win a few more in the future,” Lando added.

in 2021, Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton to win his maiden title. But, the bigger question is whether he can match Lewis’ 7 titles or possibly break that record.
Lando Norris has already given his opinion on this. Speaking on this issue, Lando said, “If Max has two seasons like this, he can get another 30 to 40 wins in the next year-and-a-half to two years, and then he is up to 70 already, so he could quite possibly [beat Hamilton’s records].”
