Earlier, it transpired that McLaren F1 star Lando Norris sustained a facial injury. This injury wasn’t sustained on the race track but in a much sillier fashion. As it turned out, he was partying it up in Amsterdam in celebration of Koningsdag, or King’s Day. It is believed that the culprit was a piece of broken glass that cut the 24-year-old’s nose.

The good news is that this is merely a minor injury, and it shouldn’t affect his Miami GP participation. Now, new images have surfaced indicating that Norris has made landfall in Miami. McLaren will be thrilled to hear that the Brit is fully fit, and the only evidence of the injury is a small scab on his nose.

Fans will be pleased to see the McLaren driver on the mend

Without a doubt, everyone would have been really glad to see Norris hale and hearty. The driver has been in good form and has been leading his team from the front. In fact, so far, he has achieved 15 podiums in his career, including two in the 2024 campaign. Admittedly, his last trip to Miami ended miserably with a P17 finish, and the year before, he retired from the race.

This year, Lando Norris is seeking redemption, especially on the back of a podium in the last race in Shanghai. Both Norris and teammate Oscar Piastri are looking to try and take the fight to the front of the pack after years of struggle.

Of course, Red Bull are always going to be difficult to beat, given their dominant form. However, in the event that they or Max Verstappen slip up, Norris and Piastri need to capitalize. The Australian Grand Prix proved that Verstappen was not infallible, and Carlos Sainz exploited that judiciously.

The 2024 F1 season is one where a large majority of drivers are out of contract soon. However, Norris is not on that list because he recently inked a multi-year contract with McLaren in January. Of course, that does not mean that he isn’t in the driver market, as a few teams have sought him out.

According to F1 reporter Mark Hughes, Lando Norris rejected an offer from Red Bull before reaffirming his faith in McLaren. However, ex-F1 driver Jolyon Palmer believes that the Red Bull rejection was Norris’ way of avoiding a Max Verstappen thrashing. Do you think he did the right thing? Of course, a Red Bull seat is always tempting since they are the strongest team at the moment. However, the new regulations will kick in in a couple of years, and there could be a change in guard when that happens.
