With the new car regulations coming into force from next season, all the teams on the grid are working flat out in order to build the fastest car.

And ahead of this year’s British Grand Prix, Formula 1 finally took off the covers from its next-generation car. This was the first time when the full-scale model of the next-gen car was unveiled in front of the fans.

What did Lando Norris say?

In order to make a level playing field and to make overtaking much easier, Formula 1 introduced several changes to the next-generation car. The notable example of which includes new aero platform, a big cut in downforce, and wider tires, which will completely change the handling to that of current cars.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Motorsport, Lando Norris said, “It’s a very different car to drive. In a way, not as nice as this season. But I think hopefully that’s the same case with every other team as well.

“And we’ll see, there’s no point trying to think it’s amazing or terrible. You just have to do the best job you can and hopefully, next season, we go to the pre-season test with a good car,” added the McLaren driver.

The car we have in the factory, it’s not even a car: Norris
