If Red Bull has broken McLaren‘s record by winning successive races, the Woking outfit has also pulled off a stunning recovery despite being handicapped by MCL60’s sluggish pace. Tipped as the best in-season turnaround in years, Zak Brown’s men in papaya aim to challenge the Milton Keynes outfit soon. Now that Formula 1 is on summer break, an anticipated $100,000,000 genius move can change the fate of the papaya army and push them to compete with Max Verstappen and Co. for the top ranks. Does this masterstroke indicate any threat to the Dutchman?
The McLaren team has stunned the world with its speed after a sluggish start that saw both of its drivers finish at the rear of the grid. All of this occurred following the big upgrade brought during the Austrian Grand Prix. However, the Woking-based group needed to add certain individuals to make the scene emerge which happened after the papaya army saw Andrea Stella assumed the team’s leadership role. Now that the personnel issues are resolved, the side moved forward with the rebuilding, with some of the crucial infrastructure soon to come online.
A new simulator appears to be in the works, and with it comes Zak Brown and the team’s $100,000,000 wind tunnel, which will help them next year, but their greatest advantage won’t be realized until 2025. After observing the side’s progressive attitude, Lando Norris, who at one point seemed hesitant to keep driving with McLaren, appears to have showered admiration on the side.

As per Speedcafe, Lando said, “Now, where are we on that story? It’s hard to say because it’s been so up and down, but I want to believe we’re in the most exciting phase in terms of who we’re about to have on board.” Later while hailing the team’s commitment Norris added, “ The level of work and companionship we did at MTC on how they tried to develop the car, and their ambition to come up with new ideas and a lot of that started, I guess since Andrea came in there’s been a big upward trend in vibe and atmosphere development.”
Despite Lando Norris’s consecutive second-place finishes behind Max Verstappen, it appears that the McLaren star still has unmet needs. So what is that how can it be resolved?
Despite recent success, what still makes Lando Norris unsatisfied?
Lando Norris has been the driving force for McLaren, scoring 122 points for the team when teammate Daniel Ricciardo appeared to be struggling, highlighting how crucial having a car that is balanced and drives the way a driver likes is. However, recently, due to the modifications made to the vehicle, Norris was forced to change his driving technique. Despite this, the British driver has still found a way to maximize the scenario. When questioned about it, Norris explained on Formula 1. Com, he said, “ It’s difficult to drive, it’s difficult to execute qualifying laps with. In essence, it is to say it is slightly easier because given a mistake, we’re just higher up there as we have been the last few weekends.”
The issue seems to be a serious one given that with each racetrack comes different issues. Later the McLaren driver revealed what can resolve the issue for him, “For me, a bigger step would be in how we drive the car, how easy it is to drive the car, then just adding ten more points of load in the slow speed, because that’s only going to get us so far up the order, I’d rather have both.”
