The world of F1 is currently going through a short break. Although it’s not an official break, there is a two-weeks gap ahead of the next race in Singapore. Amidst this momentary gap, Lando Norris is making the most of his time.
The McLaren driver is currently on a trip to the Netherlands, where he met one of the top talents of the EDM world. Norris is accompanying Martin Garrix, the Dutch-based global DJ superstar on tour around Amsterdam.

The duo was seen roaming around the streets of Amsterdam, riding a boat driven by Garrix, and having the time of their lives. Moreover, the duo also shared a ride in a helicopter where the Briton quoted Martin Garrix as his “Uber driver” on Instagram.
F1 was slated to have the Russian Grand Prix up next, prior to the Singapore Grand Prix. However, the Russia-Ukraine fallout in early 2022 led to the FIA canceling the race weekend. Hence, the two weeks gap post-Monza Grand Prix.
Lando Norris isn’t happy with McLaren
Formula 1 has just concluded the 16th race of the 2022 season. The race at the temple of speed saw Max Verstappen clinch yet another win, making it five in a row. However, it was a race to forget for Lando Norris.
A day of mixed emotions. Lando was able to finish inside the points. Unfortunately, Daniel suffered an oil leak which led to his retirement. We'll take what we can from this race and apply it to the next one. #ItalianGP 🇮🇹 pic.twitter.com/QCacbXA38i

Despite starting from a respectable P3 at Monza, the McLaren driver finished in P7 behind Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, who started from P13. It’s important to mention that last year at this time, McLaren had a 1-2 finish at the temple of speed with Norris taking P2 behind winner Daniel Ricciardo.
Lando Norris isn’t quite happy about how things have turned up at the Woking-based team this season. Talking about this, Norris stated, “I’m satisfied with it but within the big picture am I happy? No, I want to win races – I’m not here to keep finishing P7.

“Last year, we were rewarded more when we did a good job. At Imola and Monza we got podiums. This year we do a good job and it can be P8 or P9 – that part of it is tough.”, concluded the 22-year-old driver. Norris is currently at P7 in the 2022 F1 driver’s standings with 88 points after 16 races.
