Lando Norris doesn’t regret his move to stay with McLaren for the longer term despite the poor start in the 2022 season. The British youngster still believes in the Woking base and is happy to work with them in the future.

The 22-year-old is one of the best young talents in this motorsport at the moment. He showcased some outstanding performance last season with McLaren. So, the young Brit signed a new multi-year contract this season. He plans to stay longer at the Woking base and fight for the championship.

However, the start of the 2022 season has been disastrous for the young Brit and the English F1 team. Fans and many experts even doubt Norris’s decision to stay at McLaren. After seeing McLaren’s struggling form, many believe that the young prodigy made a huge mistake signing the contract. But Norris silences those naysayers and reveals how happy he is at McLaren and he doesn’t regret his choice.

Norris reported, “I see a lot of stories that say I have made the wrong decision, but that is not the case. I am happy. I have all the faith in the world that we can still achieve good things in the next few years and if I had to make that decision again, I would still do what I did.”

Despite all the tension shown in Netflix’s DTS, it seems Norris and Ricciardo are way closer and have immense respect for each other. The young Mclaren driver even revealed that he looked up to Ricciardo as a kid because of the Honey Badger‘s cool personality. Further, he feels really lucky to be on the same side as the person he admired. Norris is also excited to race along with Ricciardo at his home ground this Sunday.

Norris said, “Daniel’s home race is an exciting one for him and one I think it is a pleasure for me to be a part of.”

The McLaren duo didn’t have a great start this season, scoring no points in Bahrain. But Norris bagged the first points for the British team at Jeddah, finishing P7. Meanwhile, Ricciardo had a disappointing DNF exit in the second race. But every McLaren fan would be looking forward to the Australian GP, with it being Ricciardo’s home race, hoping the Honey Badger to turn things around for him and his team.
