Lando Norris Claims a Golf Caddy Was Quicker Than McLaren in 2023

The Trailer for the new season of Drive to Survive is out on YouTube and fans are getting ready to see the Netflix breakdown of the 2023 season. The show is a great way to get into the world of F1 with many fans getting an insight into their favorite drivers and teams through the show. Fans get to see the real side of their favorite drivers and see what it takes to be a Formula One driver.

Drive to Survive is like the Behind the Scenes of what goes on in the world of Formula 1 and it is a driving reason for the influx of fans into the sport. That being said, a joke was recorded in the trailer by the McLaren driver, Lando Norris, which has fans left in splits.

Lando Norris’ take on the 2023 car

Lando Norris is one of the two young drivers that race for McLaren and in the trailer of Netflix’s Drive to Survive, he is recorded making a joke that has many fans caught off guard. In the trailer, Norris appears to be in a golf cart when he makes the sarcastic comment, “This is quicker than our car,” even though the team finished 4th with 302 points.

Lando Norris made the joke but still managed to stand 6th in the Drivers’ Championship in 2023 with 205 points. Although this is an impressive performance, McLaren is targeting to break out of the midfield and fight for the title.

For every Formula 1 fan, Drive to Survive gives them a great dramatic recap of how the year went. Although some of the members of Formula 1 don’t like being on the show, it has helped push Formula 1 into the mainstream.

With the 2023 rewind, many expected the star of the season, Max Verstappen, to be on the main cover of the show considering that he was the season’s world champion. But it seems like it might not be the case.

Will Max Verstappen be in Drive to Survive?

Drive to Survive is supposed to be a reality show, but in the end, it’s a Netflix production and with that comes adding a little drama. Max Verstappen has been featured on the show in the past, but in 2021, he decided not to indulge in it anymore.

Max Verstappen told the Independent UK, “They faked a few rivalries which they don’t really exist.” However, he was convinced by Netflix executives to return for the fifth season. But considering that he has not been featured on the cover picture of the show, fans are wondering if he has decided to opt out of the show.
