Formula One is a team sport, but it is more often that the drivers take all the glory. The most important thing in the sport is to be thankful to the team for giving the drivers a fast car. But McLaren driver Lando Norris mentioned that in his time in F1 he has noticed some bad things from the drivers.

Norris mentioned he has learned a lot since joining the sport in 2019. According to him, there are a lot of positives in the sport but one of the negatives is many drivers pretend in front of the camera.

The McLaren driver stated some drivers behave differently in front of the camera than off it. He revealed some drivers feel superior to the other team members while the cameras are not on them. Although Norris did not name names, it would be fascinating to know who those drivers are.

While making an appearance on the High-Performance Podcast, Lando mentioned some drivers do not care about the team members at all behind the scenes.

He revealed he has heard throughout the paddock that some drivers behave differently in front of the camera. He mentioned that the attitudes of drivers are completely different behind the scenes.

“The bad thing of what I saw in other drivers is I would say, it’s more what you hear from people. But the attitudes of different drivers or different people, how not like at all but how like they would just talk to people,” said Lando.

“And how they would talk to them in front of cameras rather than as soon as the camera is gone, they just go back to being a race driver and not a team player. Just some more things like that which you hear. If I was the opposite way around and I was that person, I would hate the fact that these people talk about me like that.”

“I would hate the fact that people talk like that behind the back of me in a bad way. Because of me thinking that I’m much better and above everyone else, that’s something that I would really hate,” said Norris.

It is very interesting to hear these comments made by the McLaren driver. F1 fans had long suspected that there were some drivers on the grid that might pretend in front of the camera.
