In the past, we have seen F1 drivers arrive at a Grand Prix in an incredible and extravagant fashion. However, Lance Stroll has arguably topped it all. The Aston Martin driver arrived in a stunning helicopter, landing it on the Silverstone circuit during the middle of the F2 free practice session.

He also timed his arrival to perfection as the session was halted because of a red flag. And the chopper reportedly costs a remarkable $10 million. As per Joe Pompliano, it reportedly has 8 passenger seats, a 650-mile maximum range, and 190 mph maximum cruise speed.
Interestingly, the helicopter also had ‘LSS’ on the trail strands, mentioning Lance’s father and Aston Martin F1 owner Lawrence Sheldon Stroll. Further, it approximately costs around $4000 per hour to operate. Talk about a cinematic entrance!

Coincidentally, Lance Stroll complained about the F1 helicopter flying low, which obstructed his view during last year’s British GP. And his start to the 2022 race in Silverstone also did not go according to plan.

Lance Stroll reveals the reason behind his struggles in 2022
The 2022 season has not been kind to Lance Stroll. The Aston Martin driver has only scored 3 points and has not finished above P10. As a result, he is currently sitting in the 18th position in the championship.
His teammate Sebastian Vettel has outperformed him despite missing the first two races because of COVID-19. However, Stroll revealed his struggles to adjust to the AMR-22.

As reported by Motorsport.com, he said, “We’re always learning but I think just on my side, I want to get into a better more comfortable place with the car. I still feel like I’m not really that confident in the car and feeling very precise, and just predictable in the car.”
The British team, however, has upgrades lined up for the race in Silverstone. The team has struggled to compete with their midfield rivals, but that could change in the next few races, if Stroll can show confidence like he did during the Canadian GP.
