Lance Stroll has been picked up as the third-best active marketable athlete in 2022. The young driver comes third after Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies and NBA star, Tristan Thompson. The Aston Martin driver has been in the paddock for quite some time now and has managed to make a name for himself.

The studies are based on TSN/IMI International studies. These studies are based on Canada’s sportsmen and their global recognition and values. Based in Toronto, Canada, the organization also does corporate sponsors surveys on music stars and other industries.

Since F1 is a very popular global sport now, Lance has certainly become a recognizable face. However, Canada also has Nicholas Latifi as another active F1 driver. But the Williams driver hasn’t made it this far yet. Stroll becoming a popular entity in Canada is good for him as well as for his team for future sponsorship deals.

How Lance Stroll has fared in the 2022 season so far?

The Aston Martin driver hasn’t been able to do much this season. The start has been pretty difficult for the young Canadian. This also goes for his team as well as they had to leave out Sebastian Vettel from the initial 2 races as he was tested positive for Covid-19. The two races weren’t much lucrative to the Silverstone-based team as both Lance and their reserve driver, Nico Hulkenberg, failed to bag any points.

In Bahrain, Lance managed to get himself into P19 in Saturday’s qualification while in the race he finished in P12. For the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Stroll has been the 15th fastest in qualifying and again finished outside points in P13 on race day.

As per the records, Lance picked up 34 points in 2021. The Canadian finished in P13 in driver’s standings while his teammate four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel picked up 43 points. All in all, the Canadian managed to get his team to secure 77 points in the Constructor’s Championship. Aston Martin finished their 2021 season in P7.

The third famous Canadian sportsman this year is still to find himself a point to show this time around. As F1 goes to Australia for the third race of the season, it’ll be interesting to see if Lance Stroll can pick himself up and fight for points in the Australian Grand Prix.
