Kimi Raikkonen has always been one of a kind, whether that’s on the track or off of it. His responses in press conferences or his driving during the races, there’s almost always an element of swagger to whatever he does.
For that very reason, the ‘Iceman’ is quite popular amongst Formula 1 fans. That said, he is also regarded as one of the more experienced drivers on the grid and commands a lot of respect.
The official Formula 1 handle recently put up a post about the 41-year-old Finn driver. But Kimi, being Kimi, showed why he was that popular amongst racing enthusiasts!

F1 put up an interesting post relating to Kimi Raikkonen warming up his tires!
The caption of the post courtesy of F1 read, “Kimi’s so cool he doesn’t need to heat his tyres! #F1 #Formula1 #Kimi7 @kimimatiasraikkonen.”
To which Raikkonen replied, “Fact.”
Highlighting a brief clip, the video showed the 2007 F1 champion driving under a yellow flag at the 2017 Abu Dhabi GP. While the rest of the drivers were busy zigzagging to increase the temperature on their tires, the Iceman drove in a straight line, standing out of the pack!

The 2020 F1 season saw the Finn start his 18th season in the sport, having traversed journeys at Sauber, McLaren, Lotus, and most notably, Ferrari. He even broke the record for most F1 starts in Sochi, overtaking Rubens Barrichello’s record of 322 appearances.
From an Alfa Romeo perspective, Raikkonen will believe he gave it his all in the 2020 season. Achieving two important points finishes in Tuscany and Imola, he elevated the team’s stature to avoid the wooden spoon in the Constructors’ standings.
