Yesterday’s Canadian Grand Prix reaffirmed all of our collective faith in Alex Albon. The British-Thai driver ran a brilliant race, then went on to fend of multiple attacks from Pierre Gasly and George Russell to finish a solid P7 in a Williams! The 27-year-old driver also won Driver of the Day thanks to his exploits. However, it wasn’t just the fans who had noticed his amazing drive. It appears that his old team have their eyes back on him again.

Red Bull let Alex Albon was let go by Red Bull at the end of the 2020 season. But not even for once was his supreme racing talent in question. Just a year into his forced sabbatical, Williams lapped him up. And yesterday’s race would’ve confirmed their expectations. But do we see a bit of regret from the Bulls?

After his stunning drive, Albon was deservedly awarded Driver of the Day. And Williams came onto to Instagram to gloat to the world. But keen-eyed F1 fans noticed another admirer among the fans. It was none other than Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner.

For the fans, Horner played a major role in letting Albon down. The pressure of being in a top car like the Bulls had was getting too much for the 27-year-old. But rather than nurturing him and giving him some time, he was given the boot instead.

Naturally, seeing Horner mingling with him again gave some ideas to the fans. They rushed to the social networking site, Twitter to air their displeasure at a possible rekindling of their old relationship. One fan even commented, “Christian keep your filthy hands off him. He’s incredible despite how you treated him.”

Safe to say, the fans weren’t really enthused at the prospect of Albon making the shift again. At Williams, he’s the team leader and seems to have blossomed into a stellar driver. If he chooses to go back to the Bulls, it might break him again, and the fans know it.
