“What goes around, comes around” is a saying as old as time and a way of describing Karma. Sadly, for Fernando Alonso, the Lewis Hamilton fanbase on Twitter is pointing out his karma coming around to bite him.

In the incident-full Brazilian GP sprint, Alonso dropped to 18th while he eventually started the Saturday Sprint in seventh. The Spaniard started the sprint behind his French teammate Esteban Ocon in sixth. The two made contact in the opening lap of the sprint race.

Alonso later communicated the damage to his car on the team radio as he said, “Just lost the front wing. Thanks to our friend.” 

This is one of many instances Alpine has let Alonso and Ocon battle it out on the track. A little healthy competition never hurt anybody, right?

However, Alonso’s fight with Ocon reminded Hamilton fans of a statement Alonso made not long ago. “I have a lot of respect for Lewis, but still it is different when you win seven world titles when you only had to fight with your team-mate,” said Alonso in a recent interview.

The incident in Interlagos, coupled with Alonso’s comments, has left the Spaniard open to mockery from the Hamilton fans. Hamilton’s faithful are taking to Twitter to point out Alonso fighting his teammate.

Fans of the Mercedes man took to Twitter to mock the Spaniard for his opinion of the fight with a teammate. The fans pointed out badly Alonso’s comments aged in the past weeks.

Moreover, the fans are also mocking Alonso’s latest comment about Esteban Ocon while reminding him that Lance Stroll will be his next teammate; the driver with whom Alonso has had one of the worst collisions of the season.
