We all know how much Max Verstappen likes to talk about retiring from Formula 1, despite being only 25 years old. He wants to relax, have fun, and drive alongside his father competitively. Now, adding to his list of post-retirement plans is just lots and lots of good food. However, there is only one hindrance to his plans, and it’s his longtime girlfriend, Kelly Piquet!

Fans already haven’t had the best impression of the Brazilian model, as they urged the Dutch driver to dump his girlfriend, who is nine years older than him. They believe the mom-like tendencies reflected in her statements deprive Max of enjoying! This doesn’t help, as fans who already had a bad impression of the Brazilian model feel that it has gotten worse.

Why so? Because of a recent video conversation between Kelly, the mother of former Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat’s daughter, and Max. The conversation takes place as follows: Max: “When I‘m gonna be 40, I’m not racing anymore, so then, I can eat what I want! [laughs] Kelly: “No no no” Max: “No?”

Fans’ impression of Kelly Piquet took another hit as they urged Max to break up with her. The driver was asked to do as he pleased, and Kelly was instructed to not act like a “mom.” The driver would’ve earned the right to eat anything after retirement after having followed a strict diet and schedule following a successful F1 career.

Max Verstappen gains sympathy but is asked to break up

Fans may not feel any sympathy for on-track Max Verstappen when it comes to his aggressive driving style. But even the fans of his rivals feel for the relationships that the Dutchman has had since childhood and just continue to feel sad with every new video that comes out.

Fans feel sorry for the two-time champion, who according to them has piled up trauma, which he dumps casually in his comments without knowing so. Hence, the request to break up and become happier, as he deserves more as per the lot.

Kelly Piquet hasn’t been a fan favorite. Further, her father’s comments against Lewis Hamilton didn’t help her image either.

Max Verstappen has been under a strict regimen since childhood. Being a driver, he must’ve been conscious of his food, so it’s understandable where he’s coming from. But whether it was a joke on Kelly’s end or not can’t be said.

A breakup over what could be banter might be a silly idea. Fans want the best for their driver, but ultimately, all that’s in public is not everything that’s there between the couple.
