The British Grand Prix was a grand affair. Brad Pitt put on his fictional racing helmet for the first time ever as the latest F1-inspired blockbuster commenced filming. In other news, after an enthralling end to the race, Brits, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton made their home crowd proud by first putting on a titanic battle, and then finishing on the podium in concert. But while there was jubilation all around, one McLaren fan was surely sulking.
Formula 1 takes its race weekends very seriously. And much of its to do with the safety of the hundreds of thousands of fans that come over each race weekend to the track to watch their favorite teams and support their favorite drivers. That’s exactly why, the officials present at the venues take a very dim view of ‘illegal’ activities no matter your status or nationality.

British rapper, Skepta, was one of the invitees at the British Grand Prix being held at the iconic Silverstone circuit. What made the event even more special was the fact that McLaren was in the groove to finish big, and Skepta was to be bestowed with an exhilarating opportunity alongside Norris.
But it all turned sour pretty soon afterward. According to the Daily Mail, “Formula One fan Skepta completed a hot lap with McLaren’s Lando Norris and mingled with fans in the paddock ahead of a launch party for the Grand Prix on 6 July, but was later ejected after officials claimed they could smell cannabis whilst he was conducting media interviews.”
The 40-year-old rapper may have even gone unnoticed, if not for a special mandate in place specifically for the British Grand Prix.
