Juan Manuel Correa returned to Formual3 earlier this season and raced for the ART Grand Prix team. Now, in what is definitely going to be the best news of 2021, he is set to return in a Formula 2 car as he will be testing for the Charouz Racing System team.
According to Motorsport-total, Correa will partner Guilherme Samaia for the Charouz team. Other notable names who will take part in the test would be Liam Lawson, F3 champion Dennis Hauger, and Ferrari Driver Academy driver Marcus Armstrong. This will be the first time since his horrific crash in Spa-Francorchamps in 2019 that Correa will return to Formula 2.

The first feelings were really good: Juan Manuel Correa
As reported by Formual1.com, at the beginning of the 2021 season, Correa returned to racing in Formula 3. It was the first time since overcoming life-threatening injuries he was behind a racing car.
Correa was involved in a horrific crash in the 2019 F2 Belgian GP, where he and Anthoine Hubert got badly injured. Unfortunately, Hubert lost his life while the American-Ecuadorian driver was taken to the hospital.
Juana Manuel felt at home when he first drove the F3 car in 2021.

“The first feelings were really good. I could immediately feel that it is quite similar to how the F2 car drives – it has quite a lot of downforce. I think that throughout the two days I was actually a bit closer to the pace than I was expecting to be, so that was positive, although there are still quite a lot of things to work on,” said Correa.
He also mentioned that loved the media attention he had been getting, along with the messages of love and support.
“It was nice to get behind the wheel, do what I need to do and take away all of the distractions and start finally working on the season. It has been a long time coming for me, so it was a great feeling to be out there,” said Correa.
