His son might be a double world champion, but that still doesn’t make Jos believe his son works harder than him. The Senior Verstappen took a lap of the iconic Spa racetrack in Belgium on the weekend. In a serious turn of events, it started to snow at the circuit, which is traditionally known for its wet races. However, Jos wasn’t fazed by the sudden change in the weather.

Verstappen Sr, who is a rally driver, told AD, “When I woke up at six this morning, I first looked at all the stages on the laptop again. I work much harder than Max.” [Translated from Google]

He further added, “Of course, it’s all about fun, but if you don’t want to take it very seriously, it can become very dangerous. Fortunately, that field was a very large field.”

He further added, “Max drives with more confidence than ever, with more overview, at the same time becoming a tyre expert. For example, he rides longer on a soft tire than rivals with a harder compound, I think for him there is no limit.”
