Apple has definitely fallen far from the tree as Max Verstappen had done an anti-Jos after his teammate, Sergio Perez, took his fifth career win at Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Many have predicted the Red Bull drivers to fight each other for the win as no other car comes close to the Adrian Newey masterpiece. While some would have wanted to see Verstappen do the unthinkable of claiming a win from P15, the street fighter Perez saw the checkered flag first. And the heartwarming exchange that took place after the race has fans hail the sportsman spirit of the Dutchman.
Father Verstappen, who is known to be ruthless and cannot stand seeing anyone but his son win, didn’t step up to congratulate the Mexican teammate of his son. Moreover, in another video that is making the rounds from the post-race celebration, he hasn’t even congratulated his own son despite being a part of the Red Bull crowd. But it has delighted the fans to see that the son hasn’t taken a leaf out of his father’s book.

Red Bull took their first consecutive 1-2 since 2009 and the celebration spread across the Milton Keynes-bound team. In a clip making the round on the internet, it can be seen that on a cool-down lap post the race, Max is seen pulling next to his teammate and congratulating him with a hand gesture on two different occasions.
Fans call out “BS” propaganda of internal tension between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez

The predictions of a repeat of full-blown rivalry have been put to bed as Max Verstappen didn’t shy away from congratulating his teammate for his much-deserved victory.
