Mercedes’s chief man, Toto Wolff, gave insights on the Silver Arrow’s future. With the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, venturing well into his late 30s, many speculated a retirement on the cards for the Briton-Brazilian. However, Mercedes’ boss is dead set against it.

According to the main man, Toto Wolff, Hamilton will stay in the F1 world with the home team well into his 40’s. Wolff insists that Mercedes is Lewis’ as much as Lewis is Mercedes’. The team and Lewis co-exist, and Hamilton is an essential cog to the team. He suggests the Briton-Brazilian has a long list of things yet to do.

In a recent interview, pondering on the Briton-Brazilian’s journey at the Silver Arrows, Toto said, “Well the job list is pretty long with what needs to be done. But certainly Lewis’ contract is one of the topics that we will tackle over the winter. There is no firm deadline.”

“Absolutely. Lewis is part of the team and the team is part of Lewis. No reason to not continue,” he concluded.

Not only is this the Silver Arrows boss’ vision, but the Briton-Brazilian sees himself sticking around in F1 for years to come. Hamilton never shies away from expressing his love for the home team.

The Seven time world champion has always been loyal to his home team from the get go. Hamilton has been clear about his retirement plans- which do not exist for a substantial amount of years. Lewis wants to be with Mercedes and does not want to leave the racing life behind just yet.

In an interview, Hamilton shared his vision of life. He said, “There’s a reason why I have as much energy as I do, that I’m still able to train with the intensity that I do and have the dedication that I do.”

“At some stage, I will want to have a family and that will be my full focus, but right now, being in Formula 1 with Mercedes is it,” he concluded.
