Given that the documentary comes out on 15th November, the promotional tour by the cast is well on its way. However, in a recent interview with ESPN, Laurence Edmondson asked Jenson Button what he felt upon finding Keanu Reeves’ involvement in the project. Especially when considering that his championship season is going to be one of the focal points.
Button added, “For me, it was funny because a lot of time’s gone by since 2009 and everyone’s been busy and time moves so fast these days. So, for me to stop and have a moment to really reflect on that year was amazing.”
He also went over the first time he got to know about the project and how he was ready to be a part of it, as he added, “And then we met in LA for lunch with the full crew that were gonna be involved with the documentary, talked it through and I could see the interest from these guys and how much time and effort they’d already put into it and understanding what that season really meant to us and Formula 1.”
He further added, “So I was fully on board and for me reliving that season, you know, every step of the way through the interview process to watching the documentary, I mean it feels like it was yesterday, and it brings back so much emotion.”
Jenson Button’s revelation tells us how passionate the crew behind this documentary truly is. Moreover, given Keanu Reeves’ love for racing and the hunger to deliver the audience, Brawn: The Impossible F1 Story will certainly be a treat to watch. Especially for the fans who just started watching the sport since the days of Drive To Survive.
