Not many unusual moves in the history of F1 have been successful. To name a few that have been are, Michael Schumacher came and made Ferrari great while Lewis Hamilton joined Mercedes and broke all sorts of records. The latest one in that elite list now seems to be Fernando Alonso, whose Aston Martin move which initially seemed unconventional, has proved everyone wrong with only two races in. And the French team, Alpine, who trumped everyone in the midfield, seems like the ones losing the breakup with Alonso. The latest one to hint at the sour grape situation is the ‘veteran’ at the Renault-owned outfit.
The Frenchman Esteban Ocon made it heard that he beat the mighty Fernando Alonso in the 2022 season campaign. There has been only love lost between the two as neither one of them misses the other after Fernando shifted base to Aston Martin. However, Aston Martin gained 2.4 seconds over the winter. They now stand second in ranking from the sad seventh-place finish they made in the last season. This just makes other midfielders have a benchmark and some envy.
As quoted by Totat-Motorsport, Esteban, without pinpointing the Silverstone-based outfit, said, “There are a couple of teams that have improved a lot compared to the rest. It shows that a great improvement is possible.” He further added, “We are not satisfied with our position.”

Red Bull has been making scathing accusations wrapped in humor. Mercedes also went ahead to say half their car is ours. But amidst all of this, the team’s performance director has come out to reveal the “Dan style” they adopted listening to Red Bull’s estranged aero chief, Dan Fallows.
After several accusations, Tom McCullough, the team’s performance director, now reveals the true cause of the team’s success. As per lasexta, Tom said, “I wanted to do what Dan calls the ‘Aston Martin style’. Which is to listen to everything, listen to all the team members. Be given all the different ways to develop a car, and then see where we need to improve and see what we think is the best way to do it. That’s something I think Dan has been very good at. Saying you always have to look at what others are doing. But you have to do it your way if you want to beat them.”
