Sebastian Vettel has only managed to accumulate a meager 16 points from the first 6 races. Every race weekend has been a struggle for him; disappointments in qualifying have poured over into the races.

This has effectively left Vettel scrambling in a bid to find his way to the Top-10. So far, his last season at Ferrari has been a catastrophe. However, in spite of his struggles, the 4-time World Champion is still not willing to label his season as a disappointment or a flop.

In a recent interview, Vettel opened up about the same saying, “I don’t think it is fair to label seasons or races. I know a lot of people tend to say this was my best race or worst race or best performance or worst performance ever. I think it is quite difficult to make that statement because there has been so many races.

“(I’m) not frustrated. As I said, I’ve been in happier places. I love obviously fighting at the front. I love winning and feeling that you can, you know, obviously achieve great results and that we haven’t done yet.

“(But) overall, if you sum it up, (it) is not the best season start that I have had. But I wouldn’t go as far as frustration.”

It’s exciting to see that Vettel still isn’t ready to give up on his 2020 campaign just yet. It undoubtedly is an uphill battle, but with 11 races still to go, trust a multiple title winner to effectively turn things around.

He said, “It will be difficult this year with the package that we have, but I think Charles has proven that still you can do good races. If you make sure you are in the right position you are also in a position to benefit from it and then you can get a podium.”

What do you think? Can Vettel get a podium this season? Or will he conclude his last season at Scuderia without popping the champagne?
