It is no secret that Lewis Hamilton embraces a massive level of fan-following from around the world, with some even absolutely idolizing the seven-time world champion. One such ardent fan is former Formula One driver, Tiff Needell, who has backed the fellow British racing legend through thick and thin.

Well, quite recently, Needell took on one of the fans who ‘exposed’ the fact that the Ex-TV presenter is indeed a mere fanboy of Hamilton. To those wondering why a fan would target Needell, here’s the reason.

Needell, through social media and his podcast, has often voiced out his support towards Hamilton by criticizing the awry end to the 2021 championship fight. He once even reckoned that he wouldn’t be watching a single minute of the 2021 F1 season, thanks to the controversial ending.

Have no wish to watch a single minute of last year’s championship … it could have been the greatest season instead of the most controversional stitch up,” he recently wrote on Twitter. Hence, amidst such massive support for the Mercedes prodigy, here’s Needell’s sarcastic response to a fan tweet.

Lewis Hamilton ‘fanboy’ Needell takes a dig at F1 fan

A Twitter user posted an image of Lewis Hamilton from his McLaren days being interviewed by Needell. The caption had the names Hamilton and Needell alongside which the user etched their respective nationalities – both had the United Kingdom flag. Was the user seeking a way to prove that Needell’s opinions on Hamilton are nothing but biased?

Well, looks like it, and Needell came up with a hilarious reply to the tweet. “Oh no, I’ve been exposed!! Proof that I’m quite obviously the Lewis fan boy that the odd few accuse me of being and none of my tweets have any sort of rational thought behind them …” he wrote.
