Much like the real world, tattoos now are a lot more common on the F1 grid. The likes of Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo, and Fernando Alonso are famous for having extensive artwork on their body. Sebastian Vettel would also like to join the tattoo club but only after satisfying a certain condition.

However, Vettel is currently occupied at Aston Martin trying to redeem himself. After suffering a disastrous year at Ferrari, his priority is joining the points club in F1, rather than the body artwork club.

In a recent video on Formula One’s YouTube channel being asked about their first tattoos, Vettel revealed that he will get inked only if he does the Ironman challenge.

The Ironman challenge is one of the most challenging triathlons out there. It comprises of a 2,4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run.

The German said, “I always wanted to do an Ironman in my life and when I do, then I think its really cheesy thing, but you do this Ironman symbol on your ankle, so maybe that. But I haven’t done Ironman yet, so still waiting.”

The German shows how much his family means to him

The 33-year-old is a very private person who doesn’t really talk about his family. Until recently he shared a light-hearted story where he revealed the first thing he does when he reaches home after a race weekend.
