Formula 1: Drive to Survive by Netflix is probably one of the best docu-series that revolves around the world of motorsports. This series not only open a whole new market for F1 in the United States of America but also took the sport to a whole new level.

Now, Eve Hewson, actress and daughter of U2 lead singer Bono, has grabbed a role in a film based on F1. It is reported that Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is in the lead role of the movie. Hewson, the Irish actress who got amazed by the Drive to Survive on Netflix, actively joined hands for the F1 movie project.

Talking about DTS, Hewson shared during an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, “Drive to Survive on Netflix, it follows all drivers, Formula 1 drivers like I’ve never heard about the sports before by the way, and now I’m completely hooked.”

They’re all gorgeous, it’s like a boy-band kind of thing.”

“You follows their lives. Also, one of the team principals, the boss of Red Bull (Christian Horner), is married to Geri Horner, who’s a spice girl. There’s something for everyone. It’s really fun.”, concluded the Irish actress.

Drive to Survive fetched Eve Hewson her desired role in the F1 movie?

Currently undergoing the production stage of its fifth season, the DTS is surely one of the most intriguing, dramatic, and popular series on Netflix. The series has given a massive rise to the F1 audience in the North American country.

The Irish International who bagged herself a movie, further stated, “Actually Brad Pitt is making a Formula 1 movie and I have the same manager as Brad Pitt. After the dinner with my manager, she was like ‘Oh he was making a movie about it”.

I was like get Brad Pitt on the phone right now and she called him and I said I would do anything in this movie. I will have one line. I’ll be one of the pit crew. I will do whatever you want.”

“But I got to be in this film and he said ‘ I’m such a fan, I watched behind your eyes twice, you’re in it kid.” the 31-year-old further asserted.

As per ESPN, their average viewers per race had risen to about 928,000 so far in 2021 from about 547,000 in 2018. Earlier, the United States had only one race per season. However, from 2023 they will have three races, namely, the US Grand Prix (Austin), Miami Grand Prix, and the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix.
