Kimi Raikkonen is a Formula One legend. One of the most iconic things during his career was winning the championship with Ferrari back in 2007. Not every legend of the sport was fortunate enough to have won the title with the Italian team, and one such driver is Sebastian Vettel.

The German had four world championships with Red Bull to his name, and in 2015 joined the iconic red team on the grid. But 2020 was his last year with the Maranello-based squad. Having not won the title with Ferrari, Vettel feels he failed, and his former teammate, Raikkonen gives his thoughts on the matter.

Speaking on the podcast Beyond the Grid, being asked what he thought about Vettel not winning the championship with the Italian team, Raikkonen said, “Like I said, we are all here to try to win, and If you don’t win, you know its kinda been a failure in many ways. I don’t mean it as a bad word, there could be endless reasons for it but we are here especially to win.”

“We are expected to win as a team, and you can say that this is a failure or it didn’t count much but that’s what happens,” Raikkonen concluded.
