Very few drivers come close to matching Sir Lewis Hamilton’s exhibitions of perfection on the racetrack. Among his many records, He has a unique record to his name that even Michael Schumacher achieved. Lewis Hamilton is the only driver, along with Schumacher to have won 8 races at a single venue. Schumacher has won the French GP 8 times, while Hamilton has done the same in Hungary. The Canadian GP is also a similar race that brings Lewis & Michael at level with 7 wins each. Perhaps that is why this race holds a special place in Hamilton’s heart.

Hamilton’s illustrious career spans over a decade and a half and consists of a mighty 103 wins during that period. He won 5 races during his debut season in 2007, with McLaren. And it was in Canada where he secured his maiden F1 victory. Lewis not only won his first race there but also repeated that six more times in Canada. And now that Mercedes has a relatively quicker car compared to the beginning of the season, his confidence is bound to be high.

In a recent pre-race press conference, Lewis Hamilton was asked if Canada suits his style. In reply to the host, all he said was “Clearly”. The reply was so nonchalant that one would believe Hamilton knows he is going to put on a strong showing. Though Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes that the W14 might not be suited to the Canadian track, Hamilton’s reply has fans excited for the weekend.

On his official Twitter page, the 7-time champion posted a tweet with no words. It only had two emojis – the first was a location pushpin and the other was an emoji of the Canadian Flag. Hamilton had won at least one race each year since his debut in F1 until last year when this unreal streak broke. Considering it’s been more than 17 months since his last win came in Saudi Arabia in 2021, Lewis may be longing for a miracle. And Canada is where it all began for Lewis, so who knows it is where he can make it 104 wins to his name.
