Oh, what a time it is to be a Ferrari fan these days. The endless misery just can’t seem to let you go as the troubles keep piling up for the team everywhere. And what’s surprising, or rather unsurprising, at this point is that the issues faced by the team in both Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship are the same! Yes, in both championships, the troubles are caused by tire degradation, pitstop errors, and strategy errors!

The recurring problems are now testing the patience of the fans. With only mediocre success coming in with the blessings of the other teams’ failure to rise up, Ferrari’s podiums are hanging by a thread. While there have been none so far in this year’s F1 season, it achieved a second-place finish at the WEC round in Portimao. But the catch is, it finished a lap behind the winners in Portugal and two laps behind in the round in Sebring.

The tire degradation issues and strategy issues in F1 are fairly well-known now. In Jeddah, in the second half of the Grand Prix, Ferrari struggled the most with the hard tires, falling behind Red Bull by one or even two seconds each lap. This failure was reciprocated by the team in Sebring at the WEC as their hopes of winning the race were slashed by the team.

According to sportscar race and testing manager Giuliano Salvi, as quoted by Autosport, said, “The difference was not just tyre management: naturally we made mistakes in pitstops and on strategy – we did a lot of things that we could have improved.” Sounds familiar, doesn’t it, Tifosi?

The Tifosi, after hearing the errors made, despite getting back-to-back podiums in the WEC, don’t want to let the team off the hook. Slandering the teams, they made their voice heard and expressed discontentment with how things are being run everywhere by the Maranello-based squad.

Tifosi expresses disappointment over recent Ferrari runs

Tire degradation was a recent addition to the challenges that Ferrari faced in the last season of F1. Whereas, in WEC, consistency has been a bigger issue alongside the tire trouble. Seeing both of them unfold, the Tifosi are left with no joy as the downward trend continues.

Ferrari itself has become its biggest enemy. While it provides little support to its cars and drivers, there are bigger problems in its teams that the senior management has recently been urged to look into.
