Italian sportswear brand Kappa has entered into a partnership with Alpine F1 for the upcoming season. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time they have tied up with a Formula One team, as back in 2018 they used to be one of the sponsors for Alfa Romeo (Sauber).
Now in 2022, they have joined hands with the Enstone-based team.

Being a sponsor to a team in Formula One is a huge deal as it gets a lot of media publicity. The Italian brand had a one-year deal with the Swiss-based outfit back in 2018 and supplied them with clothing and team wear.
Kappa are set to announce a multi-year partnership deal with Alpine F1 Team, Decalspotters understands.

Now in 2022, they are set to make a comeback on the F1 grid with Alpine. Additionally, the Kappa decals will be present when Alpine take part in the Le Mans Virtual.

How did the French team perform this season?
The Enstone-based team had a season full of ups and downs, but an interesting year to say the least. Firstly, they brought in Fernando Alonso, a driver who won both his world titles when the team was known as Renault.

The Spanish driver concluded his 2021 season in tenth place with 81 points to his name. The highlight of his season with Alpine was when he scored a podium by finishing third at the Qatar Grand Prix.
On the other hand, his teammate, Esteban Ocon, had a decent year with the team, finishing eleventh in the drivers’ standings, one position behind his Spanish teammate. The most memorable thing about his 2021 season was his win at the Hungarian Grand Prix. In the end, the French team finished their 2021 campaign at fifth in the constructors’ standings with 155 points to their name.
