Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo is merely a shadow of himself now. The former Red Bull man was known for his fast pace, incredible overtaking, and holding of position. However, his breathtaking moves on the track seem like a distant past now.

The 32-year-old has faced difficulty in adapting to a new car ever since he arrived at Woking. However, the man from down under is hopeful about coming back strong this season. With McLaren launching their MCL36 Challenger for 2022, Daniel is expecting to adapt to the car as soon as possible.

The Aussie driver further stated in the interview about the potential changes in the coming season, “With change definitely comes some optimism, where it should get me to lean on my strengths more or whatever.”

Coming to McLaren from Renault hasn’t been easy for the Australian. Adapting to the new team is quite tough for any driver. But for Daniel, things have become a little too tough. From driving a Renault to driving Mercedes-powered McLaren, Ricciardo faced stiff challenges in adapting.

The ‘Shoey’ man ended at P8 in driver’s standings, picking up just 115 points. There wasn’t anything special to talk about the former Renault man apart from his win at Monza. Interestingly, the two McLaren finished at P1 and P2 after a long time. However, the team from Britain is confident that Ricciardo can perform better than last season.
