Formula 1 teams are flocking to make their way into the States. The biggest reason for it is the explosion in viewership. While the reigning champions Red Bull unveiled their livery in New York, another struck the gong in the same city. NASDAQ is one of the largest stock exchanges in the world, which has a peculiar ceremony of ringing bells. The closing bell is rung to signify the end of a trading session at a stock exchange, which is an almost three-decade-old tradition. And just like that, one of the most iconic teams of the sport decided to take a detour to New York.
Williams Racing and Logan Sargeant, who have been closely missing the glory for the past three races, have resumed their duties and a part of their duty saw them take a trip to the Big Apple. The closing bell is a tradition that has been carried forward for 27 years now and it’s pretty rare for an F1 driver to do this. Logan Sargeant, being the first racer from the land of stars and stripes to race in F1 since the Drive to Survive revolution, had this honor and fans are excited about this.
“Williams Racing Hit Times Square” read the caption, which saw a brilliant promotional event with Logan Sargeant, ringing the closing bell at NASDAQ. In the series of four pictures that were posted by the official Williams account, a celebratory feeling can be gathered as there are clear cheers from people seeing Sargeant do the honors.

Elated Fans want the presidency for Logan Sargeant
The excitement didn’t end with ringing the bell as a huge celebration of turquoise and blue followed in one of the most prestigious of locations, Times Square. The NASDAQ market site building had a huge welcome sign for the Grove-based team. It said, “NASDAQ WELCOMES WILLIAMS RACING, APRIL 6, 2023.” It ended with humongous words in white saying Williams racing. The Williams team, of course, didn’t shy away from getting clicked in front of it. And the man who is perhaps connected to ex-US President Donald Trump is now being touted for his own run by his fans.
