Let’s look back at where it all began! It was at the annual Crop Over Festival in Barbados that the fans spotted the duo spending time with each other.

The timing seemed a bit too perfect, considering Hamilton had just split up with Nicole Scherzinger in February 2015. Hence, what kind of rumors would expect apart from the ones setting up a link between Hamilton and Rihanna? And that’s exactly what happened.

This triggered a massive buzz in both Hollywood and Formula 1, with media, too, joining hands. Yet, there weren’t any clarifications arriving from either of them.

Months later, the much-awaited clarification arrived from Hamilton. While many anticipated Hamilton to affirm his relationship with the world-famous pop singer, in reality, it was pretty much denial.

The Mercedes driver openly confessed that he and Rihanna were nothing but good friends and that they were only hanging out in Barbados and New York.

“You know, I’ve known Ri for a long time,” he said. “We’ve been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again…”
