Home/F1

For three seasons in IndyCar, Felix Rosenqvist called Arrow McLaren his home. Somewhere along those three years—more specifically in 2022—Emille Sutt entered his life. And since then, she’s become his home too. Someone he confides in, and someone who’s been there for him through his ups and downs. As soon as the 2023 IndyCar season concluded, Rosenqvist—who finished 12th—left McLaren and signed a multi-year deal with Meyer Shank Racing. Two months later, guess who he’s signed a forever deal with? His girlfriend-turned-fiancé Emille Sutt!

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram with a couple of pictures on a beach in an embrace. And, of course, Emille’s sparkly ring was front and center. They wrote, “Officially off the market! 💍❤️” Felix and Emille have gotten to know each other extremely well over the past year. So here’s all we know about the newest wife-to-be in the IndyCar paddock.

Born on August 5, 1993, Emille Veronica Sutt is a Sweden native, just like her fiancé Rosenqvist. They made their first public appearance—albeit on social media—in October 2022. It was from their trip to Napa Valley, California. Their relationship obviously grew in the IndyCar off-season because, just one month into the 2023 season, Emille officially made the move from Gothenburg, Sweden, to the United States. Why? To be there for her beau as he competed in the highest class of American open-wheel racing. But she didn’t come to the US before making her mark in Sweden.

During her time in the Scandinavian country, she worked at Nordiska Kompaniet, two luxury department stores in Stockholm and Gothenburg, as per raceblitz.com. Working with luxury items seems like her forte because she was a Store Manager for the Swedish luxury clothing brand, Tiger of Sweden. She also clearly has a knack for sales, considering another experience of hers as the Store Sales Manager for the Scandinavian shopping center, Steen & Strøm Department Store.

Emille’s mother’s name is Angelie Sutt. She has a sister, Elinne Sutt, who’s a social media influencer and model. While Emille isn’t an influencer like her sister, she sure loves posting updates about her trysts and adventurous lifestyle. Traveling all around the US and the world with Rosenqvist and her friends has made her Instagram feed a burst of culture and experience. In the year she and Felix have spent together, they’ve both grown as individuals and as a couple, and their engagement is a testament to the love they’ve found.

An Instagram meet-cute brought Rosenqvist and Sutt together

Remember how F1 driver Alexander Albon and his girlfriend Lily Muni got introduced through Instagram after Lily watched Drive To Survive? Felix and Emille’s relationship started quite similarly. Rosenqvist popped up on Sutt’s ‘For You’ page, following which she liked a few of his posts. Rosenqvist returned the favor. As reported by IndyStar, Sutt said, “We did that for a couple of weeks. And then I thought, ‘I’m just going to send the first message and see how it goes.’” She told him he was cute and he said the same about Sutt. From there on, their conversations didn’t stop and they realized their connection was more than just simple attraction.

They met in person a while later, and now, they own a home in the US. Before she started dating Rosenqvist, Sutt didn’t know much about motorsport. So as new as the relationship was, so was her introduction to the fast-paced life of her then-boyfriend. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with motorsport, just like it didn’t take long to fall in love with Felix. She explained, “He told me very early, ‘This is what I do. I know you’re going to get nervous, but this is what I want to do. I hope you respect that.’” Because of the future she saw with Felix, she couldn’t help but say, “I am all in.”
