Winning a championship or even a race in Formula 1 requires the joint efforts of hundreds of people. And yes, it’s true that usually, the key faces take away all the spotlight, but they’re also dependent and supported by team members who play a critical role in the overall success of the team. In Red Bull’s case, one such member in 2021 was Alex Albon.

Team principal Christian Horner recently revealed in a podcast the key role Albon played in their successful campaign,

Horner referred to Albon as the ‘unsung hero’ of the season. He said, “The hours he’s put in behind the simulator, in the dark simulator room, in the bowels of the factory late on in the Friday evening, supporting the race driver, assisting the race drivers.”
