American model and businesswoman Kim Kardashian once took part in a Formula 1 event alongside Mexican driver Sergio Perez. The two personalities joined hands during a promotional event for a sponsor of Perez’s then team Sahara Force India. F1 being the global phenomenon, it enjoys an association of million-dollar personalities. For instance, last season witnessed several Movie and Sports stars from all folds during the race weekends.
Back in 2015, Media personality Kardashian was present in a Sahara Force India event as the brand ambassador of Hype Energy Drinks, an official partner of the F1 team. She shared the stage with the likes of F1 star Perez, and celebrities Craig David, and Aryana Sayeed. It was a Hype Energy US launch party in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 2nd, 2015. Apart from the Mexican drivers’ presence, there was a Sahara Force India F1 car put on the display for the US fans to see.

Current Red Bull driver Sergio Perez has been an integral part of that franchise for a long time. Perez joined the team in the 2014 season, his 4th overall, and stayed till 2020 in the rebranded Racing Point. Perez started 100 races for the Indian-British team, earning 400 points with 5 podiums to his name.

When Sebastian Vettel decided to leave Ferrari at the end of 2020 and joined the Aston Martin, erstwhile Racing Point, Perez was left without a seat in F1 even after an impressive season. He entered the 2020 Abu Dhabi GP thinking it would be his last one, but a surprise was waiting for him. Red Bull, who did not decide their driver lineup until the last moment, finally called Perez to fill in for Albon in 2021.
The Mexican star clinched his only victory last season in the Azerbaijan GP, alongside 5 other podium finishes. Now, Red Bull has retained him for the 2022 season as Max Verstappen’s teammate. Though the Mexican driver remains one of the best on the grid, many believe he is serving as a wingman to the Dutch teammate. However, Max Verstappen categorically refuted this claim.
