Lewis Hamilton’s Struggle in 2022 continues

Hamilton’s tough start to 2022 has continued in Imola. He had a dismal Friday and was P18 in Free Practice 1. Qualifying for the sprint was abysmal for him as well. With Hamilton getting knocked out in Q2, he is set to start the Sprint race on Saturday in P13.

After the qualifying, Hamilton looked back on the day and said “It wasn’t a great session, naturally it’s disappointing.” This has been the case more often than not as Mercedes has been off the pace compared to their rivals at Ferrari and Red Bull.

He went on to add, “everyone is working hard at the factory and things just don’t come together it’s disappointing. We underperformed as a team today.”

He will be hoping for a good showing in the sprint race to secure a good spot on the grid for the Sunday Grand Prix. Hamilton will be aiming for a good haul of points to reignite his season.
