The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was a treat to the fans. Max Verstappen, who started on P4, ended up winning the race, after a series of battles with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Meanwhile, on the other end of the table, Nico Hulkenberg and Aston Martin did not endure the best of starts. The German was called after Sebastian Vettel tested positive for COVID-19 before the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Subsequently, Hulkenberg found the situation difficult, even though he managed a P12 finish in Jeddah. Nico Hulkenberg is not desperate for a seat in F1
Nico Hulkenberg deputized for the four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel and did a decent job considering the situation. He finished P12 during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix ahead of his teammate, Lance Stroll. The German did an impressive job, considering he had very little time to adjust to the car. Nevertheless, his chances of driving in Formula 1 in the future are looking bleak.
Speaking on his future in Formula 1, Hulkenberg revealed he will miss racing in an F1 car but will take the chance with both hands if an opportunity arrives. “I miss racing more on some days than others. But I’m not desperate for a seat. Of course if there’s a good opportunity, I’m up for it definitely. Formula 1 is a lot of fun. But I also know it’s not going to be an easy task,” he said.
