“I’m Still a Virgin”: Max Verstappen Sends F1 World Into a Frenzy Over ‘Innocent’ Confession

2021 F1 world champion Max Verstappen has shown no signs of slowing down in his quest to win a second Driver’s world title. He stormed from P14 to take the win at Spa and extend his lead. While his insane drive drew reactions from the fans, a comment he made before the race also captured their attention.

Despite being in a committed relationship since 2020 with the Brazilian model, Kelly Piquet, he said, “I was 18, innocent, a virgin. I’m still a virgin.” 

Verstappen’s remarks sent the F1 Twitter into a frenzy.

Daniil Kvyat was the driver that Max Verstappen replaced mid-season in 2016 at Red Bull. It was not only his seat that the Dutch driver inherited but also his partner, as in 2020, Piquet called it quits with Kvyat and started a relationship with the new face of the Red Bull.

Kelly Piquet is 9 years older than her partner and even has a child with Daniil Kvyat named Penelope Kvyat.

Losing is a trait that Max Verstappen refuses to associate himself with, both literally and figuratively. This has been seen throughout the season as he has taken 9 wins in 14 races and is a favorite no matter where he starts the Grand Prix from.

It is a common sight to spot Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet together in the F1 paddock. However, the fans have often refused the idea of them dating because of their uncanny facial resemblance. The power couple has been associated as siblings in a running joke by the fans.

Just like on Twitter, the video of Max Verstappen saying, “I am still a virgin” spread like wildfire on Instagram and fans had a thing or two to say about it.
