Every moment spent being a part of the pinnacle of motorsport, especially as a driver, is a moment full of gratitude. Almost every current and past driver has admitted to the same. The likes of Lewis Hamilton have also admitted the same, especially after his humble beginnings. The sport has given everything to Hamilton, and that is exactly why he let go of a massive opportunity in the past. However, keeping in mind his inability to fight for championships, the Brit has changed his priorities. Additionally, the Mercedes man also made a shocking confession regarding his missed opportunity with Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise has produced some of Hollywood’s most celebrated action movies. One such franchise got a sequel in 2022, a movie that could’ve given Hamilton his Hollywood debut. However, the Brit chose to prioritize his profession first and missed on the golden opportunity. Although, as quoted by Sky Sports F1, given the opportunity again, the Brit will shift his priorities.
“I’ll wait for my proper movie debut because I’m going to need to train and practice because I don’t want to suck at it,” Hamilton said. “If Top Gun 3 ever happens, I’m going to be in it, and I will miss a race for it, just so you know. I’m not going to give up that chance next time.”

This could be the reason behind Hamilton’s shift in loyalties toward the sport and his team. In fact, despite denying a role in the upcoming project, Hamilton did showcase a desire to make an on-screen appearance.
“No, not really, I don’t really have any desire to be in front of the camera, but there may be an element in it where maybe I’ll slot in and play a small cameo, but at the moment that’s not the plan,” revealed Hamilton.
