Bernie Ecclestone, the British billionaire, became a father at 89 in July 2020. The baby boy named Ace is Ecclestone’s fourth child, besides three daughters. However, Ace (Alexander Charles Ecclestone) is Ecclestone and his wife Fabiana’s first child together.

The new parents gave birth during the first Covid-19 outbreak. And in the outbreak’s wake, most hospitals had restricted entry into the delivery room to just necessary personnel.
The British billionaire is known for making edgy statements and not mincing his words. So when the hosts of ‘This Morning’ asked Ecclestone if was present during the delivery, he did not disappoint.
Ecclestone said, “No I wasn’t there, no! I’m not a doctor,” a response that cracked everyone present.
And when one host said, “A lot of men quite like to be there for the moment and sort of see it happen.”
Ecclestone gave another brilliant response and said, “Well, I don’t know what there is to see. I’d rather watch a video.”
Ecclestone continued to discuss the birth of his son and the precautions they took amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Ecclestone disclosed his son Ace was a planned, and he is a happier man because of him. The former CEO of F1 also discussed how he will have a greater impact on his son’s life as compared to his three daughters.

Ecclestone was running and promoting the F1 empire and making it what it is today for a long time. During his years as boss of the sport, he became a father to three daughters. And it will be safe to assume he could not be a hands-on father, such was the task at hand.
However, for his newborn son Ace, Ecclestone will do better and be more hands-on.

He revealed, “Now I’ve got a lot more time so I can spend a lot more time with him (Ace).”
