Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton always shared a healthy rivalry over the course of their career. The duo not only contested each other on the track but also often pulled each other’s legs. One such occasion was the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when Vettel confronted Hamilton’s dig with a cheeky reply.

During the 2018 Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix press conference, Vettel and Hamilton sat side by side. As the press conference was progressing, Hamilton offered the then-Ferrari driver a sip from his energy drink, Monster. He asked, “Would you like some of this? It’s very good.”

The German, who was once a star driver for Red Bull, replied to this with, “I’d rather have a Red Bull,” and the duo then shared smiles. This showed that the love for his previous team was still there, as shared by Red Bull driver Max Verstappen. This also shows how witty can Sebastian Vettel be in any given situation.

Lewis Hamilton feels Sebastian Vettel has made him feel less lonely

The Silver Arrows ace has been a long-time fellow driver to the German veteran. The two have seen each other in their prime. As Vettel’s time in F1 is on the verge of ending, Hamilton feels the Aston Martin driver made him feel less lonely.

Talking about this, Hamilton conveyed, “When I talk about the journey that I’ve felt I’ve experienced in this sport and often feeling that it’s been relatively lonely, he’s one of the few people that’s made it not feel lonely.”

I think he’s one of the greatest people we’ve seen in this sport and we need more like him,” asserted the Seven-time world champion.
