Ferrari is a team seeped in Formula 1 history; the Italian team with the most titles to their name. However, their last title triumph came back in 2008 and since then the team has majorly faced disappointment.
Although, they have seen major signs of revival with the new regulations this year.
In a recent GQ Magazine article, author Tom Lamont talked about his trip to Maranello. He gave an insight into the passion people at Ferrari have for the sport. The city is home to a two-storey museum packed with Ferrari memorabilia and cars.

The Museum director, Michele Pignatti Morano, has already promised an expansion to drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. He said, “If you win us another championship, I will knock down walls for you”.
Tom further explained that it is a tradition for some championship-winning cars to be brought to the museum and displayed in a red-carpeted hall called the ‘Victory Hall’.

However, Pignatti Morano might just have to put a tab on his optimism; with Max Verstappen comfortably leading from Charles Leclerc after their recent blunders.
Mattia Binotto and Charles Leclerc disagree over recent Ferrari slip-up
Ferrari has had a few blunders in the first half of the season which has seen Red Bull and Max Verstappen have the upper hand in the title fight. There have been issues with reliability and strategy which have seen Charles Leclerc end up 80 points behind the Dutchman.
However, team principal Mattia Binotto has disagreed with the driver that strategy was the major reason for this deficit. He told Motorsport.com, “First of all, I believe there is always a way to improve, you cannot be perfect and you never will be.” (translated using Google)
Binotto went on to add, “I think I have a great team dealing with strategy and I don’t think that’s our weakness”.

He also said, “Races like Monaco, Silverstone or Paul Ricard were judged to be problematic on this front, but I don’t see the group as a problem, because I believe we have also made the right decisions.”
Surprisingly, Leclerc, in the post-race interview at Hungarian Grand Prix, had some different thoughts when he seemed confused by his team’s strategy.

Ferrari needs to fix these issues as soon as possible to have the slightest chance of clinching the title. The Monegasque himself will be hoping for a better showing once F1 returns from the summer break.
They will have to bring their A-game for the museum expansion plans to go ahead and become a reality.
