An extremely talented ex-F2 champion came to the Formula 1 grid, breaking many hearts in the process. In 2022, McLaren decided to change guards between the Australians when they booted Daniel Ricciardo for his fellow countryman Oscar Piastri. Already a disliked character for pushing everyone’s favorite smiling beast out of an F1 seat, Piastri arrived when the vibe was weird. However, a recent discovery from the archives may see that narrative changing.
Wondering what that discovery is? It is two old tweets that have the man very evidently hating on a bubbly drink. Again wondering what that is. Oscar Piastri is not a fan of sparkling water. While that is a peculiar feat in itself, in a very unexpected turn of events, the fans have showered the man with love considering his “hatred” for the carbonated drink.
A Twitter account posted two of Piastri’s tweets from 2021. The first is titled “Bloopers of the Weekend,” in that tweet he stated his drink from his kitbag “tasted a little weird” and initially discounting the possibility of it, he later “noticed bubbles” and sadly concluded that it was sparkling water.

Oscar Piastri’s strong dislike for a bubbly drink has fans united in support after the Daniel Ricciardo drama
The man who saw all sorts of controversies before joining the grid has, for the first time, witnessed people unite in his favor. Another tweet from the same year has the man a little more vocal about his aversion. He wrote, “Replacing still water in the mini fridge with sparkling water should be a crime. They are NOT the same thing.” And seeing this F1 Twitter has just exploded in sending love to Piastri.
