Lewis Hamilton was doing an interview when the V10 engine was screaming on the track. The Briton stopped to savor the moment. As the screams toned down a bit, he reacted, “Ah, that sound was just so good, man.”
Alonso gives his thoughts on Hamilton’s reaction to the V10
Alonso expressed that he watched Lewis‘s reaction to the sound of the V10 and felt that everyone reacted in a similar way to the seven-time world champion.
“I have noticed a lot of respect, perhaps more than in other years. I did see Hamilton’s reaction. Everyone reacted the same,” the Spaniard said during the El Larguero podcast.
It was an incredible scene when the R25 left Renault’s pit box. Entire crews from other teams ran to watch the championship-winning car returning to the grid.
That moment clearly showed that the F1 community has definitely missed the services of V10s and V12s. Both engines gave the sport a massive fan-following.
Exciting, with many memories, says Fernando Alonso
The Spaniard opened up that driving the Renault R25 brought back many cherishable memories. “It has been very exciting, with many memories, to see that the mechanics take care of it as if they were their toy has been beautiful,” Alonso said.

The R25 gifted Alonso his first-ever world championship title in 2005. He dominated the entire grid that season, as he went on to secure the title, steering clear of Kimi Raikkonen by 21 points.
“In the race, the R25 has been 1 second faster than many cars that grill,” the two-time world champion said.

The sound of the V10 engine going around the circuit put up an enormous smile on the face of every single driver and the fans. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the highly-rated engines will make their return to the grid.
However, it would be great to watch such occasional runs and provide the viewers with a drive through memory lane.
