The reigning Red Bull champion, Max Verstappen, recently shared about his desires in life. And one such want that he desires, is kids. The Dutch Lion publicly admitted that he wishes to have kids. He further specified that if his kids were to show interest in racing, he’d be all for it. However, he’d make sure that it’d be a different journey for them in comparison to his childhood.

In a recent interview with ‘Limburger,’ Verstappen said, “I definitely want kids and if they want to race, that’s fine. I do think I would do it differently than how my father and I did it. I don’t see that at the moment. But it’s easy for me to talk because I don’t have kids. Maybe I’ll think very differently when the time comes.” [Translated using Google]

“But, the passion he had went very far. He did everything for me. Tuning engines, preparing karts. I don’t see myself doing that. In any case, I’m not going to push my kids to race. They have to want it themselves,” he concluded.

He elaborated, saying, “I have often indicated that this is too much and the main reason that I will not continue to do this until I turn 40.”

“Traveling a lot and stuff. That’s just not healthy. I still really like it now, but you have to give up a lot for it. That sounds crazy because driving Formula 1 is, of course, a dream for many people, but it really is. You are very far away from home and from the people you love. There comes a time when you are done with that,” he exclaimed.
