Ferrari was tipped to challenge Red Bull after a strong start to the season. Charles Leclerc won 2 of the opening 3 races and mounted the pressure on Max Verstappen. However, after a series of unfortunate events and mistakes from both ends, their title charge was quickly annulled by RBR. Consequently, this prompted Damon Hill to criticize Ferrari’s star man, Charles Leclerc.

It was another disappointing outing for Leclerc in the sprint race of the Brazilian GP. The Monegasque finished the race P6 after another blunder in qualifying cost him to start the race from P10. Amid all this, Damon Hill criticized the Monegasque for not taking enough responsibility.

He added, “I mean… could you imagine Max Verstappen saying ‘what are we doing?’.”

The Ferrari driver acknowledged Hill’s comments as he replied to his criticism. The Monegasque said, “In some occasions yes. [In qualifying], I had no idea of what was going on. If the team tells me it is raining outside, I don’t see outside or at least not in turn 12 or whatever. In those situations, I cannot do much.”
